Porsche has confirmed the next-generation 718 Boxster will be purely electric when it arrives in showrooms in 2027.
Built on a dedicated lightweight platform, the roadster targets a curb weight under 1,600 kg — a bold promise for an EV. An 800-volt architecture enables 270 kW charging, and Porsche insists the driving dynamics will honour the Boxster name.
A manual-free future, perhaps, but the brand swears the steering feel will remain analogue in spirit.
